Managed by the International Research and Experiential Learning office (IREX), the BIG program provides awards up to a maximum value of $20,000 to eligible University of Ottawa researchers to offset the cost of dedicating a currently enrolled University of Ottawa doctoral student to work on a Big Idea project.

The inaugural BIG competition is pilot program of the Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation. All eligible University of Ottawa researchers are invited to apply.
