The program supports University of Ottawa PhD students wishing to do a research visit at a major research institution in Germany.

Purpose

The PhD Mobility Program in Germany provides scholarships of $6,000 to University of Ottawa PhD candidates wishing to conduct research projects at a major institution in Germany over a 12- to 24-week period. It is managed by the Office of International Research and Experiential Learning (IREX). 

All topics are eligible. 

University of Ottawa PhD students who have completed their compulsory courses are eligible and should apply through their thesis supervisor. 

The competition for the 2024 PhD Mobility Program in Germany is now open. The application deadline is January 12, 2024, 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
