Perspectives for Human Rights Based Approach in Canada on the 40th Anniversary of Our Charter of Rights and Freedoms
The event, organized on the anniversary year of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, will feature HRREC member and Ph.D. candidate in Law Slava Balan together with graduates of the Fall 2021 online course Human Rights & Governance: The Human Rights Based Approach (HRBA) to Policy, Law and Development (DCC4119), Van Armenian and Lola Soetan, as well as HRREC Member David DesBaillets, Ph.D. The speakers will share perspectives for applying HRBA in Canada regarding education, housing and homelessness.
