Building Information

The Health Centre, located on the corner of King Edward Avenue and Marie-Curie (formerly Somerset) street was opened in 1990. The rectangular building emits an air of pride with it’s beautiful rose-salmon brick and abundant fenestration. In the basement, we find the Archives of the University of Ottawa. Large temperature and humidity-controlled vaults are specially designed for the long-term preservation of archival heritage of the establishment founded in 1848 under the name Bytown College. Furthermore, a reading room is available for researchers who wish to better understand the history and development of the most important and oldest bilingual university in North America.
