Eligibility

No purchase necessary.  This contest is organized by the University of Ottawa’s Parking and Sustainable Transportation Office. Only University of Ottawa students and employees (except those individuals who work in the University of Ottawa’s Parking and Sustainable Transportation Office) are eligible to enter.

To Enter

To enter, the entrant must complete the 2022 Modal Share Survey and the contest entry form and answer a skill-testing question. The contest begins on March 11, 2024 at 8:00AM EST and ends on March 24, 2024, at 11:59PM EST. One (1) entry per entrant for the entire contest period. By entering you agree that you have read and understood these Contest Rules.

Prize

There are two prizes consisting of $250 in uOttawa flex dollars each. The prize must be accepted as awarded or forfeited and cannot be redeemed for cash or credit.

Selection of Winners

The winner will be randomly selected amongst all qualified respondents on April 1, 2024.

The winner will be informed by e-mail following the draw. To win, the selected entrant must have correctly answered the skill testing question and completed all fields requesting information. The prize will be picked up by the winner, at the Parking and Sustainable Transportation Office, following contact with him/her. If the selected entrant cannot be reached within 14 days of being chosen as the winner, the prize will be awarded to the second-place entry, and so on until the prize has been awarded. The odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Publicity

The winner’s name may be publicly available on the University of Ottawa’s website at uottawa.ca in April 2024. By participating in the contest, you agree to the publication of your name should be selected as a winner.  The winner must sign a form acknowledging receipt of the prize and releasing the University of Ottawa from any and all liability arising from participation in the contest or from the acceptance of any prize.

Privacy

Information collected from contest entry form such as your email address is collected under the authority of the University of Ottawa Act, 1965, S.O. 1965, chapter 137 and will be used solely by the University of Ottawa for the purposes of selecting and contacting the contest winner and administering the contest.

General Conditions

This contest is subject to applicable Canadian laws.  For Quebec residents, any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of this publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, de courses et des jeux for a ruling.  Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.

The University of Ottawa is not responsible for technical hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions that may limit or interfere with a participant’s ability to take part in the contest.  The University of Ottawa reserves the right to cancel or modify the contest if fraud or technical failure threatens to destroy the integrity of the contest or for any other reason.
