The Software Center enables self-service application and software installation, updates, and upgrades for staff and faculty on Windows-based University of Ottawa desktops and laptops.

- Allows self-service capabilities to eligible users for convenience and efficiency.
Getting started
- Find the Software Center app on your computer by typing “Software Center” in the search window in the left bottom corner of your screen, beside the Windows menu.
- Once in the Software Center, browse the applications available and install any of the listed applications. Among this list, you can upgrade to Windows 11.
- Starting early March 2024, Windows notifications will alert you of the available updates, upgrades, and installation options available to you.
