What is your job title?
IT Project and Portfolio Manager
How do you see your role going forward?
I would like to see my role play a significant part in business and strategic decision-making at the University. I would like to help IT make the Project management process an automated one which will make the process smoother and easier.
Where did you complete your studies?
I graduated from Sharif University of Technology in Iran. I also have a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), and a Scrum Master designation from “The House of Scrum”.
In which countries have you lived or which ones have you visited?
Since I love travelling, I have visited many countries in Europe, South America, and South Asia. Now that I am in Canada,I enjoy the weather here.
What is your hidden passion?
Travelling. Also, camping and canoeing which I do every year.
What is your guilty indulgence?
- Sometimes, I make too many jokes like Chandler in the show “Friends.”
- As well, I didn’t like the idea of having pets, but I’ve had a puppy for almost a month, and I do everything for her. She’s so lovely!
What is your unknown/hidden talent?
I can climb trees amazingly fast, but it’s hard for me to come down.
If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be?
IT and investment.
What are you learning now, and why is it important?
I’m trying to learn more about IT and management. It’s important because it’s part of my career and I want to keep learning and growing.
What three words would your friends use to describe you?
Fun, productive, hilarious.
What trend do you hope makes a comeback?
I would love the world to have more peace and a greener environment. Less sexism and racism, more friendship and free hugging. No borders and wars. Better future for our children. I love how the next generation takes some experience from older generations. I love technology but not when it takes over relationships. Facebook and Instagram are good apps, but don’t replace knocking on your friend’s/family member’s/neighbour’s door to say hi, have tea or coffee together, and sharing memories.
