What was your last career change?
My most recent career transition was in May 2023 when I joined the IT Solutions as Senior Manager for the Faculties Enablement and Support team. Prior to this I was working with the Workday team managing reporting and different other projects.
What made it successful?
The teams! I am fortunate to collaborate with two exceptional groups—my immediate team and my peers. Both are incredible and highly knowledgeable, and they provide invaluable support in my day-to-day work.
What was the biggest challenge in adapting to your new role?
The steep learning curve has indeed presented a challenge, with a wealth of knowledge to acquire and proficiency to attain rapidly. Thankfully, the team has been a vital source of support in navigating through it.
What advice would you give to someone considering a career change?
My only advice is to trust your instincts. Do not overthink it. If you think it’s good for you, go for it!
How can colleagues help someone transition into their new responsibilities?
Job shadowing.
If you were a chocolate bar, which one would you be?
I'd go for a PayDay bar because it’s the best day :D
What ingredient should never be found on a pizza?
Seafood and cheese should never share space on a pizza…
What three items would you bring if you were shipped to a deserted island?
My choice would be Dora the Explorer’s backpack, a sign declaring my ownership of the island, and a guitar.
