Job shadowing offers you the opportunity to follow a colleague through their daily work to give you a sense of what their job entails.

As part of a new Information Technology initiative, a Job Shadowing program will be made available at the University for those who wish to learn from accompanying, interviewing and/or observing an experienced worker at their workplace.

What is Job Shadowing?

Job shadowing helps you acquire first-hand information about a position, profession, career or work field. This opportunity allows you to explore the realities of a job that fits your interests, skills, goals and values.

Why Job Shadowing?

Job shadowing allows you to discuss how to deal with potential career barriers and challenges, create and take advantage of hidden opportunities, and build your professional network. Learning about someone else's work can improve your own performance or knowledge in your current role.

How To Get Involved

The process for hosting or participating in a Job Shadowing experience is simple and efficient.
