You may be aware that it sends an alert when a serious emergency affects our campuses. What you may not know is that it also has a direct dialer to Protection Service’s emergency line. It’s a handy tool for all and we encourage you to take a moment to explore its many safety features.
At uOttawa, safety is paramount. On September 19, cellphones that were distributed starting July 2020 will have SecurUO automatically installed. Currently, over 900 of these phones do not have SecurUO installed. All members of the University community are encouraged to download SecurUO. It’s free and available on iOS as well as Android.
SecurUO stores no personal data and cannot access your phone without your permission. Your privacy and anonymity are protected when you use this app.
