As we embrace the ever-evolving landscape of education and employment, uOttawa navigators have required substantial changes to bring these tools up to par for an optimal experience.

Today the CO-OP navigator includes a mobile app to make it easier for students to use.  Students can efficiently browse job opportunities, access comprehensive job descriptions, and submit applications. This helps students manage deadlines, receive tailored recommendations, and further connect them with networking possibilities.

In the upcoming upgrade, the University's various navigators will be consolidated into a single platform which will enhance student satisfaction. This allows students to access the navigators on their cellular device or tablet from anywhere! Business processes will be reviewed and streamlined to reduce paperwork; and there will be faster processing. This integrates responsive technology capable of functioning on any device; a single app for all types of placements.

These placements include Work Study (for students seeking on-campus employment), Community Engagement (where students can participate in meaningful volunteer work), Jobs Now (a bulletin board akin to Workopolis, connecting you with job opportunities), and, of course, the CO-OP Navigator to guide you through cooperative education experiences.

As we embrace the ever-evolving landscape of education and employment, this kind of technology is invaluable in making it easier to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world experience.
