Event details

Take part in this manufacturing workshop to get more familiar with a range of traditional manufacturing tools, such as lathes, milling machines and saws, as well as welding and manufacturing equipment. This workshop is a mandatory prerequisite for working in the Brunsfield Centre, but will also give you an opportunity to create your own personalized door hook: it’s a great way to hone your practical skills while create a useful and unique personal item. 

  • First session: 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Second session: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Expectations for the Manufacturing Training Centre (MTC) workshop): 

  • Arrive on time and be prepared to learn. 
  • Read and understand the training material before the workshop 
  • Be respectful with staff members and around the equipment 
  • Wear closed-toe footwear 
  • Avoid loose clothing and tie back any long hair 

 We will supply the necessary materials.
