We’re delighted to announce that Kevin Couture, Facilities Officer, has been named the Health and Safety Leader of the month for November 2023 at uOttawa.

Kevin is a valuable member of the University community, who is dedicated to ensuring the safety of everyone in the workplace. He is heavily involved and engaged in the workplace inspection process, from selecting dates to conducting the inspection and addressing corrective actions. Kevin is passionate about his work and takes the time to explain to the members of the University community the purpose of the inspection and why corrective action should be instituted for a particular hazard. He understands that the workplace inspection is a joint venture between all parties in the workplace, highlighting engagement as a key element in our workplace safety policy.

Kevin’s involvement and engagement in the workplace inspection process are critical to the success of our prevention program. His dedication to ensuring the safety of everyone in the workplace is commendable, and an excellent example of safety leadership.
