David Paré's teaching is focused on counselling and psychotherapy theory and practice. He is a counselling psychologist and a director of the Glebe Institute, a Centre for Collaborative and Constructive Practice in Ottawa, which offers psychotherapy training and services. He is an adjunct faculty member at the Hincks-Dellcrest Centre in Toronto (http://www.hincksdellcrest.org/) and at Centre de psychothérapie stratégique in Montreal (http://www.psychostrategique.com/). His research is focused on contemporary, strength-based approaches to counselling and psychotherapy associated with social constructionist and post-structural thought. This includes narrative, collaborative and brief therapies. Particular research interests include reflecting teams, supervision and collaborative practice groups and mindfulness applications to counselling and therapy.
