Biography

Dr. Ahmad Jrade, Ph.D, P.Eng., M.ASCE, is an Assistant Professor of Construction Engineering and Management at the University of Ottawa, Department of Civil Engineering. Before joining U of O, Dr. Jrade was an Assistant Professor and coordinator of the Construction Engineering program in the Department of Civil and Construction Engineering at Western Michigan University for five years.He also held a teaching position at Concordia University.

His doctoral studies consisted of computer integrated construction, 3D-CAD Modeling, Management Information System (MIS) and Life Cycle Cost Analysis. He developed a management information system that integrates 3D-CAD drawings with cost databases to generate conceptual cost estimates in order to forecast future costs and income for proposed building projects based on their size and budget.
