Biography

Professor Infante Sedano has studied at the University of Ottawa (B.A.Sc., M.A.Sc. and Ph.D.).He has worked as an engineer for the company Urkkada Technology Ltd., where he has participated in the design of piles and other foundations for various buildings and highway projects in various locations across Canada and the United States.

His duties have also included the monitoring of ground improvement methods and field instrumentation. He has also taught part-time at the University of Ottawa between 2006 and 2009 before joining the department of Civil Engineering of the University of Ottawa as an Assistant Professor in January 2010.

Dr. Infante Sedanos's research plans target sustainable development by emphasizing the use of unsaturated soils as well as the use of geothermal energy for the purpose of optimizing the use of resources in the construction of various geotechnical structures.
