Sania Ahuja, Layali Awwad, Sheryl Molloy and Lauren Thompson, representing the Common Law Section, enjoyed remarkable success at the 2021 All American regional round of the John H. Jackson WTO Moot, held virtually February 25 to 28. The team won for best factum for the complainant, best factum for the respondent and best overall factums. In the oral competition, the team made it to the semifinals before being eliminated. The team’s success qualifies it for the global final oral round in June and July this year.

The team was coached again by Kevin Gray and Dean MacDougall (LLM ’16), both from the Trade Law Bureau at Global Affairs Canada. Kevin, speaking for both, said, “We are impressed with the hard work the team put in to achieve this result, and we’re eager to continue working with these bright students in preparing for the final round.”

Congratulations to the team members and their dedicated coaches
