Water is collected in plastic bottles with no preservatives added. Please do not label directly on the plastic bottle, as rubbing and movement during shipping can remove the ink from the plastic. Please use tape or a label with permanent marker to identify samples.

Yes. For the analysis of 129I in solids, an alkali fusion technique or combustion technique is used. In some instances, the solid sample may be mixed directly with Nb, pressed into a target and analyzed on the AMS. Please contact us regarding this service in order to assess which technique will work the best.

Yes, the 127I concentration is analyzed in our geochemistry laboratory via ICP-MS.
