Once again, many of our professors have distinguished themselves in their fields. They’ve received many awards and distinctions for their various teaching and research activities.
  • Professor Allison Clouthier (School of Human Kinetics) received the Canadian Society for Biomechanics 2024 David Winter Early Career Investigator Award.
  • Professor Audrey Giles (School of Human Kinetics) received the Canadian Association for Leisure Studies Leisure Scholar Award.
  • Professor Judy King (School of Rehabilitation Sciences) received the McMaster University School of Rehabilitation Science 2024 Distinguished Alumni Award.
  • Professor Linda McLean (School of Rehabilitation Sciences) received the International Urogynecological Association Oscar Contreras Ortiz Award.
  • Professor Jennifer O’Neil (School of Rehabilitation Sciences) received the 2024 Ontario Physiotherapy Association Innovation and Advancement Award.
  • Professor Marijke Taks (School of Human Kinetics) received the North American Society for Sport Management Research Fellow Award.
  • Professor Chibuike Udenigwe (School of Nutrition Sciences) was named a fellow of the American Chemical Society — Division of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.

In addition to these many awards, we’re pleased to announce that the Marie des Anges Loyer-DaSilva Research Chair in Community and Public Health Nursing has been renewed and will continue to be held by Professor Wendy Gifford of the School of Nursing.
