The office of Faculty Affairs (FA) oversees faculty affairs within the Faculty of Medicine. We are comprised of the Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), the Faculty Wellness Program (FWP), and the Office of Professionalism (OP). The Assistant-Deans and Director of these offices report to the Vice-Dean Faculty Affairs who is the head of the FA. The FA oversees the clinical faculty appointment process, annual reviews, academic promotion as well as other academic issues and faculty relations. The number of requests for faculty appointment and promotion continues to increase, a healthy indicator of the faculty engagement with the University.

September 5, 2023
We recognize the contributions of the EDI Action Plan working group.
Dr. Ewurabena Simpson and Dr. Nadine Wiper-Bergeron co-chaired the EDI Action Plan Working Group. The Working Group consisted of 5 teams from different sectors across our faculty and affiliated teaching institutions including learners, staff, and faculty that convened over the 2022-2023 academic year. Each team, described below, performed a deep and thoughtful analysis of current EDI practices and made actionable recommendations to address barriers and improve the integration of EDI principles into our activities. Dr. Simpson and Dr. Wiper-Bergeron would like to take this opportunity to thank all the participants of the action plan working groups and to acknowledge the time and effort they devoted to this important task. The Faculty of Medicine and its partnered institutes will benefit from the insight and analysis.
Stakeholders were divided into five (5) groups.
