Employee and Family Assistance Program

The Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) is a confidential and voluntary support service that can help you find solutions to all kinds of challenges regarding work, your health or life in general.

The program is in place for you and your eligible Spouse and/or Dependent child, and there is no cost for you.

Shepell-fgi, the University’s EFAP service provider offers a wide range of services that are delivered by highly qualified and experienced professionals. The services offered include:

  • short-term professional counselling
  • family support services
  • legal support services
  • financial support services
  • naturopathic services
  • nutritional services
  • health coachings

The EFAP is completely confidential within the limits of the law. No one, including your supervisor, will ever know that you have used the service. To ensure your privacy and confidentiality, the fees for the EFAP service are paid in advance by the University.
