There are many job opportunities right here on campus! More than 1,700 positions are available in faculties and services. You can usually find a position related to your field of study or relevant to your skill set that can provide you with job experience and a flexible schedule.

Work-Study Program
To apply for the Work-Study Program, access the Work Study Navigator through uoZone.
You must fill out the financial questionnaire, demonstrate financial need and be enrolled as a full-time student. You can only be matched to one work-study position per term, typically from seven to 12 hours of work per week.
The application period is from March 14, 2024 to June 14, 2024 for the Spring-Summer term.
Casual part-time jobs on campus
There are also other on-campus employment opportunities, including part-time, casual positions with services such as Residence Life, Varsity Athletics, Campus Recreation, Health and Wellness, and the uOttawa Card Service.
Residence Life typically hires in February and March, with additional hiring in August and September. Positions include reception attendants, volunteer project assistants and team leads. They have bilingualism requirements.
Campus Recreation typically hires throughout the year. Part-time positions include intramural referees, personal trainers, lifeguards and swim instructors, as well as group fitness instructors, fitness attendants and client service attendants. Learn more about employment at Campus Recreation.

Every year, the Career Corner hosts a variety of Career Fairs to help you meet employers, build your network, and ultimately find a job.
Off-campus jobs
There are many off-campus job experiences. Programs such as the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP) give you opportunities to explore government and develop your skills.
FSWEP is a continuous recruitment program that requires you to be enrolled full time and be returning to full-time studies in the next academic term. You must create a profile and upload your resumé to the FSWEP database. If you meet the requirements for a position, you’ll receive an email and be referred to hiring managers. Be sure to continuously update your FSWEP profile.
