The work of the Molecular Medicine Lab lies at the crossroads of chemistry and biology with one overall goal in mind: to monitor and modulate the effectors of disease with a diverse toolbox of molecular innovations for the advancement of medicine. In the Molecular Medicine lab, we design and implement clinically relevant activatable molecular imaging probes for imaging cancer prognosis and therapy response, atherosclerosis, and drug-induced liver injury. We strive to provide the same level of information as a biopsy, but non-invasively and over the entire disease site of interest in efforts to contribute to the personalization of medicine.
The Molecular Medicine Lab supervises students from graduate programs in Chemistry & Biomolecular Sciences.
