To enrol in a second language course, follow these simple steps:

Undergraduate students

  1. Complete the online Placement Test to determine which courses you’re eligible to enrol in.
  2. Once you’ve received your placement test results, see our FLS or ELS course sequence (above) and learn about the courses.
  3. Use the class search tool to find the schedules for the FLS and ESL courses available in the coming academic year.
  4. Once you know what course you’d like to enrol in, log into uoZone. Under Applications, select Enrol.

Graduate students

Graduate students who want to enrol in a second language course require the approval of their program or thesis director. Typically, final grades in ESL and FLS courses don’t count in a graduate student’s grade point average. To confirm this, contact your faculty’s Office of Graduate Studies.
