Collaborative Specialization in Environmental Sustainability: Requirements
Admissions
To apply to the collaborative program, you must:
- be admitted to a participating University of Ottawa Master's program.
- be conducting research in environmental sustainability (please see the research topic guidelines for more information).
- fill out the collaborative program registration form.
Program requirements
Compulsory courses
EVD5100, Seminar in Environmental Sustainability
This seminar exposes students to scientific, economic, legal and political perspectives on climate change. It encourages students to understand the multiple facets of the problem, and analyze potential solutions in a real-world context.

Students writing a research paper instead of thesis must also take one optional course:

Students' thesis or research papers in the collaborative program must follow the Environmental Sustainability program guidelines.
