Introduction
This PAG Fellowship program focusses on the diagnosis and management of common problems in pediatric gynecology, congenital reproductive tract anomalies, pediatric & adolescent gynecologic malignancies, gynecologic disorders in medically ill children, reproductive endocrinopathies affecting children, and contraceptive issues for the adolescent. The Fellow is expected to develop the knowledge and skills appropriate to professionally function in the following roles: Medical expert, Communicator, Collaborator, Manager, Health Advocate, Scholar, and Professional in PAG.

- NRMP Match registration: Our program takes part in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). All Canadian and USA applicants must register. Clinical Component:
The Fellowship will focus on the diagnosis and management of congenital reproductive tract anomalies, pediatric and adolescent gynecologic malignancies, gynecologic disorders in medically ill children, reproductive endocrinopathies affecting children, common problems in pediatric gynecology, surgical techniques, pre and postoperative care in pediatric patients.
The year (thirteen 4-week blocks) will include 11 blocks of core PAG into which Hematology and Endocrinology clinics are integrated, 1 block of Pediatric Surgery, and 1 block of Elective.
Our PAG team is dedicated to mentoring fellows and thus 1:1 meetings are organized to discuss career planning, wellness, academic career, etc. with a mentor.

Academic Component:
The fellow will be invited/ expected to
• Attend weekly Grand Rounds (Pediatric surgery, Adult Ob/Gyn, or Pediatric)
• PAG rounds 3-4x/block including presenting 1x/block
• Participate as PAG examiner in Ob/Gyn OSCE twice per year
• Participate in yearly PAG lectures series residents in Ob/Gyn, Pediatrics as well as for fellows in GREI and Pediatric Emergency
• Participate in PAG simulation program
• Have protected time for NASPAG teaching rounds and journal club
• Have protected time and funding to attend a PAG conference
Research Component:
It is expected that the fellow will take part in a research project throughout the year. The research may be in the following domains: clinical, quality, or medical education related to PAG. In addition, the fellow must prepare and submit a research abstract with the aim for presentation at NASPAG (+/- CANPAGO SOGC) and the University of Ottawa research days (Ob/Gyn, Pediatrics, Pediatric Surgery). Manuscript preparation is also expected. Weekly protected time (1- 2 half days per week) with possibility of a research block elective is available.
Second Year
At the current time, the 2nd year is optional. Fellows are expected in preparation for their second year to develop their own objectives based on their personal career goals and needs. This can include a Masters, a Health Education Scholars Program (HESP at uOttawa), the Foundational Elements of Applied Simulation Theory Course (FEAST at uOttawa), Leadership Training, etc. Second year fellows are expected to continue their longitudinal clinics, surgical responsibilities, call duties, research activities, and to mentor first year fellows.
