Find journal articles
- Search Omni. Omni searches the full text of journal articles in nearly all the Library’s research databases, including both licensed and open access content. Refine by “Resource Type: Journal Articles” to filter out other types of content.
- Consult a general research database. Like an Omni search but slightly less broad.
- Target a specific database in your subject area. Go to our Research guides and librarians page and select a subject. Each of our guides lists recommended databases for research in that area.
Get a journal article
For online articles, look for links titled “Full Text”, “PDF”, “HTML”, or a button with the uOttawa logo. Note: These options will only appear if you find the article in Omni or in our research databases.
For articles in print journals, record the location and call number to retrieve the item yourself from our stacks, or request that a scanned copy be sent to your email.
If we do not have the article, we can help you get it from another library.
