You could taste the excitement last August 24, when the Dining Hall chefs’ team got to try out their brand new kitchen. After weeks of learning and fine-tuning new recipes, they finally had a chance to bring them to life in their new work environment.
Only a chef could fathom their joy and enthusiasm for high-tech ovens and fresh pasta machines; after all, it’s just an oven, right?
The Food Services team and their guests were the first to sample the chefs’ creations, and judging by their reactions, the Dining Hall team members are clearly committed to sharing their love of food!
“The variety and the different flavours are such a departure from what we’ve had in the past,” said Isabelle Décarie from Community Life Service.
Without a doubt, the favourite new dishes were the mushroom ragout, which was crafted for vegetarians but was so good it won over the most avid carnivores, and the delicious panna cotta, which will make you fall in love with pastry chef Jules.
From the kitchen to the serving trays to customer service, everything has been overhauled. The new Dining Hall will definitely be worth checking out any time of the day or night!
