Academic leaders hold a crucial position as managers, unifiers, and developers. We wish to enable them to use and build their skills.

Who we are

We aim to equip our current and future academic leaders with the tools and the training to excel in their roles as agents of change and development at uOttawa.

We strive to:

  • Support deans, vice-deans, department chairs, deputy and vice-provosts, research leaders and persons in equivalent positions in their role as academic leaders.
  • Facilitate networking between colleagues holding academic-unit management positions.
  • Capture the interest of future academic leaders and prepare the next generation.

The Academic Leadership Program goes hand-in-hand with the University’s Strategic Plan, Transformation 2030, and its core aspiration of outstanding leadership and management.
