Women Research Chair Holders
At the Centre for Academic Leadership, we organise activities to faculty to share and learn without having to reinvent the wheel.
This initiative which started in 2019-2020 is a collaboration with the Office of the Vice-President Research in support of its Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan. This group aims to support the success of female Chair holders (Canada Research Chairs, University Research Chairs, Chaires de recherche sur le monde francophone, Endowed Chairs, and Clinical Chairs), to better guide them during their mandate and for them to be able to discuss with others – for example, talk about the expectations, and how to address a certain situation.
If you hold one of these research chairs (CRC, URC, Monde francophone, Endowed or Clinical) and would like to be part of the group, please write to us.
This workshop will be facilitated by
Assistant Vice-President, Research Services

- “Our discussions have consistently provided direction, stimulation, and insight in relation to the specific objectives of my chair.”
- “ I learned so much from my colleagues! We could openly exchange our worries and concerns and strategies solutions together, it was so amazing! I also got to learn more about what is expected of Chair holders and I feel better prepared now.”
All University of Ottawa full-time professors (tenured or tenure-track).
