Biography

Esteban is a 3rd year PhD candidate and a Joseph-Armand Bombardier doctoral scholar, focusing on legal challenges associated with marine renewable energies and environmental harm theories. Throughout his doctoral work, Esteban has developed a particular interest in Canadian constitutional issues associated with ocean governance. He holds an LLB from Université de Montréal and an LLM from the University of Amsterdam. He is a member of the Quebec Bar, and has gained work experience with the federal Department of Justice and international organizations such as the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity, the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification and the European Parliament.
