The University of Ottawa, located in the province of Ontario, must adhere to the provisions of the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Sexual harassment is prohibited under the Ontario Human Rights Code. Court decisions have clarified the definitions and statements of the Code.

The Ontario Human Rights Code provides protection against sexual harassment in employment and accommodation (housing) as well as in the provision of services. A definition of harassment, the scope of the protection afforded by the Code and the provision of remedies to victims are presented in this module.
