How do I get started?
You can start by using the chat feature, which is available every weekday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., to talk to a student career mentor, who will guide you through the range of personalized services available to you through the Career Corner counsellors. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, our in-person appointment location (formerly UCU 211) is currently not open.
What can I learn?
Career Corner mentors can direct you to resources to help you gain experience and prepare for your career, such as:
- On-the-spot reviews of your CV
- LinkedIn profile reviews
- Job search strategy sessions
- CO-OP program information
- Volunteering and community engagement opportunities
- Internships and part-time/summer jobs
- and so much more!
Do they offer practical training?
Of course! You can book appointments to practice interviews (including med school, law school and grad school interviews) or schedule appointments with career counsellors for employment testing and private sessions to review your resume or LinkedIn profile.
