Tranquility & Insight - Meditation Course
Each week participants will be guided in the practices of breathing, walking, body-scan and self-compassion meditations as well as exercises for mindfulness of eating, speaking and thinking. Participants will be given homework and encouraged to develop a daily 20-minute meditation practice to strengthen a habit of stopping and resting.

André has practised meditation in two major Buddhist traditions: the Thai Forest (Theravada) tradition and the Vietnamese Rinzai Zen (Mahayana) tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. He has been a member of the Order of Interbeing since 2002, and received the Lamp Transmission from Thich Nhat Hanh in 2014. He is an associate professor at the School of Information Studies at the University of Ottawa
