Tuition fees must be paid at the beginning of each term. They can be vary based on the status of the student and are different from program to program. Additionally, depending on the program, other fees may apply such as administrative fees, incidental fees, and ancillary fees.
As of September 1, 2018, international PhD candidates at uOttawa will pay tuition fees, at the same rate as those paid by Canadian PhD candidates. This new initiative will be submitted to the Board of Governors for approval in the coming days.

University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP)
UHIP (University Health Insurance Plan) is a compulsory insurance plan for international students (and their dependants) that covers medical and hospital expenses during your stay in Canada and standard medical visits.
